It’s that time of year again!

This weekend sees the start of Edinburgh’s Christmas kicking off in our city centre. The annual event is always a hit with locals and tourists alike, lasting 6 weeks across the festive period, bringing lots of family-friendly fun to Edinburgh.

The fun start this Friday with some of the attractions opening their doors but the real event of the Light Night taking place on Sunday, to officially open the Edinburgh's Christmas and see the lights of the Christmas tree on the Mound switched on.

Whether you are looking for ways to the entertain the kids with Santaland, or to get your Christmas shopping done at the German and Scottish markets, you’re sure to find something to please everyone. With enteratinment available in Princes Street Gardens, along George Street and in St Andrews Square, you'll probably need to visit more than once to take it all in. And once you’re done, why not take a whizz on the ice skating rinks, followed by a Hot Toddy or Mulled Wine to warm you up.

Seasons Greetings!
