The Foodis Festival returns to Edinburgh this week for their Christmas show. What can we expect?

Edinburgh at Christmas is a wonderful place.

With the festivities in the city centre and this weekend, the Foodies Festival is returning to the capital for it's annual Christmas Festival.

From Friday (24th November) until Sunday (26th November) the EICC on Morrison Street with play host to a huge array of chefs, bakers and cocktail makers, as well as having lots of food and drink treats on offer to try & buy. Kicking off on Friday evening and throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday, you'll find lots of things for the whole family, including Festive Workshops to make this Christmas the best yet, live music from some of Scotlands best unsigned artists and even the Elf Cookery School for any kids you bring along.

In the Chef's Theatre there will be demonstrations from Jame Scott (Masterchef the Professional Winner), Dan Ashcroft (The Pompadour) and Ian Pirrie (Edinburgh School of Food & Wine). Meanwhile if you fancy something a bit sweeters, in the Cake & Desserts Theatre you'll find Charlotte White (Restoration Cake), Lara Bross (Bross Bagels), Kevin Geddes (Keep Calm and Fanny On) and our very own Amy Lorimer (Baking with Granny), will all whipping up something sweet to round off your Christmas dinner. Insider tip...The Cake & Dessert Theatre on Sunday afternoon is the place to be, particularly at the End of the Festive Show Show - especially if you like to sample delicious goodies!

So if you fany kicking off your festive celebrations this weekend, the Christmas Foodies Festival is the place to be! Oh, and best of all - it's all indoors.
